  • "overall we really like the jeep. My spouse has wanted a 4 door for years (we still have a two door). I had really expected to getting into the 20 mpg with a newer jeep--not so much. maybe after 10-20 K miles it will improve. My biggest issue is with the soft top. Jeep has had a fitment issue with jeep soft tops for years--the interface between the door frame and the soft top windows still do not match correctly and have to be adjusted periodically--this is our second soft top model--so we are not new owners--thank goodness this one has a hard top for winter use. A simple J-hook design instead of an L-hook would solve the problems. This new jeep has the slots in the door frame (rear door framing installed when you switch from the hard top to soft top) that would support a J-hook design. The second issue is regarding the ability to get a daytime driving module--after having driven vehicles over 50 K miles per year for work--the added safety of daytime running light has become a definite improvement. I'm told that to get this feature I must get into the Rubicon or Jeep Cherokee vehicles. I find that unacceptable. Turning on the head lights means you can't see the instrument panels or radio display while driving (or at least I cannot). I'd really like a module to add daytime driving lights to both my 2 door and 4 door."
