Question: Why am I having problems with the car windows when it is only 7 years old?

I've had the car 2 yrs, my drivers side window no longer goes down, and the back passenger window sounds like it goes down but the window doesn't move,

There are (2) gears to operate this Window Lift System. (1) is on the Window Motor and the (2) gear is attached to the Lift System. These gears are made of a Plastic/Rubber Compound-which wear out, over time and usage. Yes, a bad engineering design.
It sounds like the Window Motors on your car are in working order. If this is not true, try the fuse panel for these windows. The last remedy would be the Window Switch/s.
If you only have these problems, you are doing real well. I won't even start with My Car.
Lets just say, (9) months and 5k miles of driving = $3,500 in repairs-so far....
